Master

Master de Physique

The department directs the Master of Physics program.

This Master program has seven specialist options :

three for students intending to pursue a professional career
  • Instrumental Development for Micro and Nano Technologies DIMN (website)
  • Environment, Atmosphere and Radioprotection EAR (website)
  • Renewable Energy and Efficient Management of Electric Energy ERGE3 (website)

and two of which aim to provide training and courses for students intending to continue to research at the PhD level

  • Synthesis, Aging and Characterisation of Nuclear Materials SYVIC (website)
  • Fundamental Physics PhysFond (website)

For research specialisations , an International  Master welcomes non French-speaking students.

Please visit the master website, and a detailed program description.

Master in Nanoscale Engineering

The Master's in Nanoscale Engineering (NSE) started on September 2009.

On account of their unusual and often extraordinary properties, nanostructures will play an important role in engineering science for the next decades to come.  Furthermore, the nanosciences are at the interface of Physics, Biology, and Chemistry, and are expected to open perspectives in fields such as Health, Sustainable Development, Energy...

This PRES International Master's program is offered by Ecole Centrale de Lyon, INSA and UCBL.  All courses will be taught in English.

Please visit the NSE website and detailed program description.

Master Sciences de la Matière

The department also participates in the Master of Sciences de la Matière, a joint program organised by both Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1 and the Ecole Normale Supérieure of Lyon.
